For first time users of Hong Leong Bank's eFD/eFD-i facilities via Hong Leong Bank Connect Online (website) or Hong Leong Bank Connect App, you are in luck! HLB is offering an additional 0.05% for new 6-month eFD placements for an attractive 4.18% p.a. interest rate.
If you've already performed eFD placements with Hong Leong Bank before, the rate is 4.13% p.a., which isn't too shabby either! Hong Leong Bank is also offering 3.93% for 3-month placements. Note that the 4.13% and 3.93% rates do not have any new-to-eFD requirements, but do have a minimum placement of RM10k.
In contrast, the minimum placement amount for the 4.18% campaign is very low at RM1,000, and the maximum is at RM200,000 - which means you can't place RM200k a second time for the same 4.18% rate, as you'll no longer be new-to-eFD.
This offer starts today, and runs until 27 January 2023, or when the total target funds (RM350 million) are achieved.

Verdict - online FD placements are convenient and quick, and 4.18% for a 6-months tenure is currently the best in town (at the time of writing). A deal not to be missed.
